Abstract

754,239. Supporting conductors. BARR, MASON, Ltd., COOPER-STEWART ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and HOGG, J. D. March 4, 1955 [March 8, 1954; Oct. 27, 1954], Nos. 6737/54 and 31053/54. Class 36. An insulating support comprises a body portion 40, a first arm 11 which is formed as a hook at is free end, a second arm 12 which projects towards the hook so that a wire can be snapped through between the arms, and means for resiliently engaging a mounting rod. The arm 12 may also be formed as a hook. The body portion 40 may comprise a tube having a slit 41 to impart resilience thereto or having resilient projections within the bore. In a further embodiment the body portion may be of U-shape, having inwardly directed resilient arms forming inturned hooks which permit the passage of the mounting rod therebetween. A peripheral flange 39 may be located between the body portion 40 and the arms 11, 12.
