Abstract
Aluminium or aluminium alloy is granulated by allowing the molten metal in the temperature range 675 DEG -800 DEG C. to fall a distance of 1 1/2 in. to 14 in. onto a revolving carbon or graphite disc the surface of which is at a temperature which is above the melting point of the metal, in a neutral atmosphere below the melting point of the metal. The apparatus disclosed is substantially that of Specification 746,301.
