Abstract
753,351. Heat insulation. BECKETT, L. Nov. 30, 1954 [Dec. 5, 1953], No. 33889/53. Class 64(2). Each one of a number of sections of lagging for encircling a hot water cylinder one above the other is formed by a tube made of textile material cut on the bias and filled with glass wool a<SP>1</SP>, the ends of the tube being closed and one end provided with tapes e while the other end is provided with complementary loops formed by a strip g sewn transversely to the tube so that the two ends can be joined as shown. The tapes e or strip g or both may be set back from a tube end to provide overlap when the ends are joined. The padded tube is formed by folding a strip of rot-proofed cotton drill longitudinally over a glass wool pad and stitching the adjoining edges at b.
