Abstract
423,335. Collars for personal wear. LICHFIELD SHIRTS, Ltd., 179, Tuam Street, Christchurch, New Zealand. March 23, 1934, Nos. 9175 and 9176. Convention dates, Nov. 17, 1933 and Dec. 20, 1933. [Class 141] In a soft collar, stiffeners 4, of material unaffected by washing, are permanently enclosed in a casing 3 which is secured at its ends only by stitching 5<a>, 5<b>, to the collar top 1 so as to form a loop through which the tie may be passed. The stiffener is loose inside its cloth casing, which may be secured, as shown, at 45‹ to the fold of the collar, or parallel with the end of the collar top. The casing for the stiffener is formed from a strip of material folded longitudinally a number of times and then folded in the middle to comprise several thicknesses. Specification 265,520, [Class 141], is referred to.
