Abstract

752,070. Binding posts. MUIRHEAD & CO., Ltd. Feb. 26, 1954, No. 28476/55: Divided out of 5343/53. Class 38 (1). A wire is clamped between a flange F on a threaded shaft T and a washer W through an aperture in which is passed a pin GP engaging a keyway K in the shaft so as to prevent the washer from rotating and to limit its axial movement. A nut N with a shroud ES which overlies the pin GP screws on the shaft and is coupled to the washer by a spring ring SC engaging grooves in the nut and washer. A chamfer on the end of the nut enables the ring to be spread during assembly, the assembled terminal being impossible to dismantle.
