Abstract

752,060. Rotary pumps. CLAYTON DEWANDRE CO., Ltd. Nov. 19, 1954, No. 33591/54. Class 110(2) A rotary exhauster or the like particularly for a servo-braking system, of the radially outwardly sliding vane type has a spring loaded end sealing plate, an air inlet valve to maintair a predetermined vacuum and means to connect an engine oil circulation system to the in. terior of the exjhauster for lubrication purposes The suction port 6 communicates through a .recess 28 and a passage 27 with a chamber 26 of a spring loaded ball valve 23 closing a port 24 which communicates with the atmosphere, the valve opening and admitting air to the suction port 6 when a predetermined vacuum is exceeded. The vanes 4 are guided on cylindrical cam rings 17, 18. An annular sealing plate 8 with an outer expanding ring 9 is pressed by springs 13 against edges of the vanes 4 and is prevented from rotating by studs 10. The lubricant supply is connected to a port 20 from which passages communicate with rotor bearings 14, 15. Specifications 563,454, 752,061, 752,062 752,063 and 752,064 are referred to.
