Abstract

751,840. Self-propelled missile. ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH AIRCRAFT, Ltd., Sir, W. G. May 6, 1952 [July 6, 1951], No. 16059/51. Class 9(2) A self-propelled. missile is provided with boost motors 16 having noses 21 which lie in the same plane as the nose of the missile, the plane being normal to the axis of the ' missile. Four pairs of boost motors lie between adjacent pairs of the main planes 12, a pair of the motors having a common nose. The axes of the nose cones of the motors are symmetrically divergent from the axis of the missile. Specification 749,049 is referred to.
