Abstract
751,821. Suction cleaning apparatus. HEMSCHEIDT, H. [trading as HEMSCHEIDT MASCHINENFABRIK, H.]. June 18, 1954 [June 25, 1953], No. 18017/54. Classes 8(1) and 8(2). In suction apparatus for the removal of rock drill dust and the subsequent separation and collection thereof comprising a box 1 housing a suction device 3 e.g., a compressed air actuated injector surrounded by a filter unit 2, and a detachable lower vessel 4 housing a collecting bag 7, the latter is supported by a member 6 by which it is connected to a funnel-shaped guide wall 5 having tangential dust-laden air inlets 9, and an inner funnel-shaped baffle 10 open at its lower edge 11 to the bag 7 is set at an acute angle a to the guide 5 so as to deflect wet dust particles into the bag 7 and so protect the filter unit 2. The funnel 10 projects below the inlets 9, is covered at least on its operative face by corrosive resistant material and is replaceable by one of different inclination.
