749,610. Welding by fusion. FLEMING, F., and BODE, E. July 19, 1954 [July 20, 1953], No. 20017/53. Class 83 (4). A welding manipulator has a table rotatable about its central axis and tiltable about an axis set at an angle of about 22¢ degrees to the horizontal. The work-table 45 is rotatably mounted on a bracket 37 secured to a rotatable shaft 23 set at an angle of 22¢ degrees to the horizontal and journalled in a casing 20 secured on a vertical column 11. A brake 52 operated by a foot-pedal serves to lock the work-table in position. The work-table 45 and the shaft 23 may be rotated manually or by power-operated means. The casing 20 may be mounted on the column 11 so as to be rotatable about a vertical axis.
