749,477. Continuous-discharge mixing- machines. FABRIC DEVELOPMENT CO., Ltd. Sept. 17, 1954 [Oct. 2, 1953], No. 27117/53. Class 86. [Also in Group IX] A solidifying medium and a setting medium, which may be ammonium alginate containing di-calcium phosphate and formalin, are mixed in a container 3 having baffles 39, or having rotary mixing propellers on a shaft extending longitudinally of the container. The reactants are supplied from tanks 1, 2 and pass via valves or pumps 6, 7 to the container 3. A discharge nozzle 8 controlled by a valve or pump controls the delivery. The pumps may be gear pumps. The tanks 1, 2 and the container 3 are mounted on a trolley for reciprocation above a bath containing yarns or the like to be impregnated with the medium.
