Abstract

749,323. Sensitometers. MASON & SONS, Ltd., E. N., and WOODHAM, E. Nov. 5, 1954 [Nov. 6, 1963], No. 30731/53. Class 98 (1). A sensitometer comprises two concentric cylinders surrounding a light source, the inner cylinder having an aperture in its periphery, and the outer cylinder, which carries the lightsensitive material, being rotatable round the light source. As shown, a light source 1 is surrounded by two cylinders 2, 8. The outer cylinder 2 carries the light-sensitive material 3 positioned over an aperture 5 and is connected to hub 17 which is rotated by pulleys 7, 13 and belt 6. The inner cylinder 8 has a stepped aperture 11 and is secured to a shaft 21 which can also be rotated by pulleys 10, 14 and belt 9, preferably in the opposite direction to the outer cylinder. According to the Provisional Specification, the sensitive material 3 may be located on the inner wall of cylinder 2.
