748,048. Agricultural implements. WADE, Ltd., F., and WADE, F. Nov. 25, 1954 [Nov. 25, 1953; Dec. 12, 1953], Nos. 32658/53 and 34663/53. Class 6 (1). A plough-share of the slip-nose type is characterized in that a slip-nose 10 is provided with a spigot 101 which inclines downwards and rearwards when viewed in plan and a share 11 is formed with a complementary inclined slot 111 for the reception of the spigot whereby when the spigot is engaged within the slot the reaction of the upward thrust on the slip-nose when the plough is in travel renders the slip-nose selfsustaining. As shown, the spigot and slot are also inclined side-ways. The spigot and slot may be tapered and the spigot may be provided with flutes or. recesses which are complementary to flutes or recesses in the slot. The spigot and slot may be of a tapered dove-tail formation.
