[Also in Group XXX] A garage 7 is partly sunken below ground level 9 and its front and rear walls support a shaft 10 on which is rotatably mounted a wheel comprising three pairs of concentrically arranged rings 13, 14, 15 connected by spokes 12 to a hub 11. The rings of each pair are interconnected by spindles 16, and an open-ended box 17 for housing one or more cars is freely suspended from each spindle. The arrangement is such that the wheel is turned to bring each concentric series of boxes into loading and unloading positions without impedance by the spokes. The front wall has openings 18, Fig. 3, for the loading and unloading of such boxes as 19 on the outer rings, an opening 20 for boxes on the intermediate rings, and an opening 22 for those on the innermost rings. In the latter case a ramp is employed. Alternatively, the three pairs of rings are independently rotatable on the main shaft and the boxes may be suspended from spindles extending between pairs of radial arms 28, 29, 30, Fig. 7, on the pairs of rings.
