Abstract

746,940. Fencing. BERG, H. Sept. 30, 1953, No. 20015/55. Divided out of 746,908. Class 45. A fencing strip material is made in the form of a ribbon provided along each edge with a row of spaced excisions 11 such that of each edge each portion between two adjacent excisions is formed with two spikes or teeth 12, 13 facing in opposite directions, the ribbon being adapted to be wound flat on a spool and during laying to be twisted beyond its elastic limit. Such twisting causes spikes to protrude all round the length of the strip. The excisions may be elongated if desired and each may be provided with a central outwardly pointing spike. The strip may be of substantially elliptical cross-section with sharp edges. It may be laid in accordance with the method described in Specification 746,939 and with the device described in Specification 746,908.
