Abstract

1,021,954. Clips. BRIGHT MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. Oct. 9, 1964 [Oct. 10, 1963], No. 40078/63. Heading E2B. A clip comprises a plurality of longitudinally spaced substantially inverted U-shaped members 1, the lower end portions 3 of the members being bent inwardly in opposite directions to form spaced gripping parts, the members 1 being connected by connecting portions 2 which are staggered throughout the length of the clip to permit the clip to bend freely throughout its length. In use, as shown in Fig. 4, the clip carries a covering 5 of thermo-plastic synthetic resin or fabric, the longitudinal edges 6 of which are turned inwardly and upwardly around the portions 3 of the members so that they are sandwiched between the extremities of the members and a supporting flange 4. As shown the extremities of the members 1 are cut off square but alternatively they are cut at an angle so that they pierce the edges 6 and make point contact with the flange. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 851,521.
