743,320. Endless conveyers. REGNITZKONSTRUKTIONS-GES. Dec. 8, 1953 [Dec. 8, 1952], No. 34130/53. Class 78 (1). [Also in Group XVII] A carton-forming machine (see Group XVII) comprises two conveyers 1, 2, one carrying mandrels 10 for part forming the carton and the other spring-loaded gripper cheeks 44 between which the cartons are thrust by the mandrels 10 for removal from the mandrel. The cheeks 44 are carried on elements 42 pivoted on the conveyer 2, each having an arm 78 carrying a roller running in a cam track 80, the elements 42 being tilted during the travel of the conveyer 2 to position the carton for filling, sealing and ejecting operations. Specification 681,406, [Group XVII], is referred to.
