Abstract

609,844. Conveyers. MACHINES AUTOMATIQUES BARDET. March 15, 1946, Nos. 8083 and 8084. Convention dates, May 12, 1946, and June 6, 1946. [Class 78 (i)] Tubular products are transferred from a feed conveyer 2 of a packing machine on which they are placed with their axes in the direction of length of the conveyer on to a carryoff conveyer 5 having a transverse movement, the products being ranged closely and squarely on the conveyer 5 by means of a rotating- cam 3, each projection of which effects the transference of one of the products. The cam 3 may rotate in a plane parallel or perpendicular to the surface of the two conveyers as in Figs. 2 and 4 respectively. The cam and an oblique stop 4 are made up of a plurality of spaced plates which interleave with one another during the rotation of the cam. An abutment 11 assists in the aligning of the products. In Fig. 4 the conveyer 5 is lower than conveyer 1 to permit rotation of the cam. After leaving the conveyer 5, the products pass on to a system of belts 7, 8, 9. The distance between the belts 8 is such that undersized products fall between them. A rotating disc 6 aligns the products on the conveyer 5 and is placed a little above the plane of the conveyer. The periphery of the disc is tangential to the conveyer and runs at the same speed.
