A knife-edge bearing comprises a pair of grooved blocks 14 engaged by cooperating knife-edges 16 and located in parallel channelshaped members 11, 12 which are interconnected by a loop 13 at their upper ends. The lower ends of the channels are open for the reception of a yoke member 17 which is held in position by split-pins 18. The knifeedges 16 are secured to a beam 15. The channel-members 11, 12 and loop portion 13 are made from a single blank of sheet metal.
