742,385. Milling-cutters. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. June 22, 1953 [June 3, 1952], No. 13875/52. Class 83 (3). A milling cutter or like rotary tool comprises a number of teeth 8, Figs. 1 and 3, held in dovetailed slots by pressure applied through a deformable tongue 9 forming a part of an insert 5 and constituting a wall of the slot. The dovetailed slot is formed wholly in the insert 5 or partly in the body, Fig. 5, and partly by the insert. The tongue is deformed to clamp the tooth by screws 12.
