742,008. Stereoscopic optical projection. MORROS, B. M. April 16, 1953 [Jan. 22, 1953], No. 10492/53. Drawings to Specification. Class 97 (1). A projection screen with systems of concentrically arranged projections or depressions has such systems in pairs with centres spaced horizontally at the interocular distance and is used in conjunction with left and right eye projectors similarly spaced. Several pairs of projectors may be used to project the same stereoscopic pair or a sequence of pictures corresponding to a sequence of viewpoints. The centres of the screen systems may lie outside the screen itself. The screen may be reflecting or refracting. Each concentric system may be formed of grooves of saw-tooth section, each tooth having one flank which is light-absorbing and preferably parallel to the axis of the system, the other being inwardly inclined towards the axis and being straight or having a curvature convex or concave to the screen. Alternate teeth may be of convex or concave curvature and pairs of such alternate teeth may be spaced by plane annuli. Alternatively each concentric system may be formed of circular rows of spherical or conical projections or depressions.
