739,555. Making glassware. EMHART MANUFACTURING CO. May 28, 1954 [Nov. 16, 1953], No. 15933/54. Class 56. In a glassware forming machine having a parison forming station A and a blow mould station B, with a neck ring 28 transferring the inverted parison to a blowing mould and turning it right way up in transit, the parison mould comprises a one-piece body 1. After the gob 10 has been deposited the bottom of the parison mould is closed and the gob pressed to a parison by a plunger 47a. After the parison has been blown to final shape in the finishing mould 35 the latter is lowered, but a plate 78 engaging the bottom of the blown article remains elevated to facilitate removal of the article.
