Abstract

738,440. Covers for feeding bottles. BRITISH XYLONITE CO., Ltd. July 2, 1954 [July 7, 1953], No. 18793/53. Classes 66 and 94 (1). [Also in Groups XIII, XIV and XV] A protective cover for a baby's feeding bottle comprises a jacket or sleeve 1 the walls of which are hollow and inflatable to provide a cushion of air around the bottle. An open ended sleeve is formed from three sheets of polyvinyl chloride, or a copolymer of vinyl, or polyethylene; the inner sheet 3 being doubled and the two outer sheets 1, 2 heatsealed around it to leave an annular space for air. An inflating nipple 5 is provided in one of the outer sheets, closed by a stopper 6. The sheets are cut away at 11 and secured to each other at 15, 16 to give a waisted effect to the sleeve when inflated.
