Abstract

735,320. Pressure gauges. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Sept. 9, 1953 [Oct. 21, 1952], No. 26461/52. Class 106 (2). A multiple limbed manometer comprises a backing block 1 formed with a number of parallel grooves 2, and a fluid-tight transparent cover or covers 7 over the grooves to form the limbs or tubes of the manometer. From the upper end of each groove 2 a bore 5 extends to a hippie 6 affording separate external connections to the sources of pressure to be measured, an external supply of manometric fluid being supplied through an orifice 4 to a lower transverse groove 3 forming a common supply passage to the grooves 2. In a modification, Fig. 4, upper and lower connections to the grooves are made through blocks 15 and 11. The cover or covers 7 may be of glass secured to the backing member 1 by adhesive.
