733,273. Rotary meters. GEHRE, H. June 5, 1953 [June 7, 1952], No. 15609/53. Class 110 ( 2). A nozzle for directing the fluid onto the vaned wheel 6 of a rotary meter is provided with upper and lower discharge edges 3 staggered with respect to one another in the axial direction as shown. If desired, the said discharge edges may be axially adjustable and of equal length. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the upper and lower discharge edges are internally provided with a groove and a shoulder respectively for producing eddy formations; the shoulder being formed by a step or inlaid wire ring. The profiles of the two nozzle parts may differ from one another. Specification 674,305 is referred to.
