731,415. Drying threads. BEMBERG SOC. PER AZIONI. Dec. 14, 1953 [Dec. 17, 1952], No. 34694/53. Class 34 (1). Apparatus for drying freshly spun rayon threads &c. 2 having a channel 1, through which the threads pass, with air inlets 3 and outlets for drying air which flows in parallel or counter current, has air-tight covers 4 for the channel tiltable about pins 5 and having counter weights 7. The gap between two covers is sealed by a gasket 11 tiltable about a pin 10 and the covers and gaskets are secured by hinged hook levers 6, 12 each cover 4 having an inspection port 17 covered by parallel glass panes 18, 19.
