727,606. Making caps for fountain pens, &c. WAGNER, E. V. Jan. 7, 1954 [Oct. 9, 1952], No. 25298/52. Class 87 (2) Plastic material is injected through a passage 10a into the spaces a, band c between a fixed core 2, an inner sleeve 4, a fixed outer sleeve 8 and a sprue member 10 to form a cap for a fountain pen, &c., the clip being formed in the space c lying between the two sleeves. Then the upper platen 9 is raised, taking with it the sprue member 10 and exposing the top of the cap, and the sleeve 4 is pushed up through the stationary lower platen by means of an ejector plate, whereby the cap is lifted off the core and may be withdrawn from the sleeve 4. Several caps are made in one operation.
