[Also in Group VI] A container packed with ejectable material is wrapped in an element which may be removed and dimensionally adjusted so as to be thrust into the container to eject the material therefrom. In the menstruation protection means shown in Figs. 1, 3, the tampon 18 is packed within an inner tube 15 and a longitudinally split outer tube 16, ejection of the tampon being effected by removal of the tube 16 and its subsequent introduction into the tube 15 after suitable contraction of its diameter. Instead of splittingthe tube 16 it may be either longitudinally scored or have parallel rows of perforations to define an inwardly foldable portion. In a further embodiment the inner tube is split whilst the outer one is as 15, ejection of the tampon being effected by removing the outer tube, expanding the inner one and then inserting the outer into the inner. In the device for ejecting medicament shown in Fig. 11 the outer tube 34 is split and is formed with an abutment 35 whilst the inner medicament containing tube 31 is provided with a disc 33 and plunger 32 both initially in sealing position with the medicament there-. between. For medicament ejection the contracted tube 34 is inserted into the tube 31 until the abutment 35 contacts the end thereof. In this position the seal 36 around the plunger is broken. Further diametrical contraction of tube 34 is then effected so that it may be thrust further into the tube 31 causing the disc 33 to move or rupture and the medicament to be ejected. The tube 34 may be scored or have perforations as described above.
