726,600. Boxes. SAMUEL, M. Jan. 29, 1954 [April 27, 1953 ; Oct. 2, 1953], Nos. 11516/53 and 27018/53. Class 18. A tray shaped box or lid has sides and ends hinged to the base by strips of flexible material, adjacent edges of the sides and ends being joined by flexible gussets. In one embodiment the sides and ends are held erect by straps 116 passing through eyelets 119 in the gussets and engaging buckles 120. In another embodiment each side and end comprises two halves 11-18 joined by flexible strip, which halves may be folded one on the other to produce a box having half the normal height. A box and lid formed according to the invention may be held in telescoped relation by girth straps supporting a handle, for use as a suit case.
