Abstract

725,259. Sawing. LENNARTZ, W., and BROGLI, L., [trading as LENNARTZ & CO.], Sept. 2, 1953, No. 24250/53. Class 145 A circular saw comprises toothed sections 2 slotted at their inner sides to fit over a reduced portion 4 of the saw disc 1, on which they are held by rivets 5, and the sections have a semicircular groove 7 at both ends and a hole 10 at one end so that a circular pin 8 having a rightangled extension 9 of reduced diameter may be fitted between the sections to brace them together. The grooves 7 may be made to a radius slightly greater than that of the pins to allow for grinding the abutting edges to remove distortion owing to heat treatment of the sections before they are fitted. The depth of the slot in the sections is sufficient to leave a space 11 between the slot bottom and the reduced disc portion 4.
