[Also in Group XV] A toy kit consists of a toy comprising a hollow pressure tight body a adapted to be filled with fluid under pressure and having a restricted outlet opening b at one end thereof communicating with the hollow interior of the toy, and means for filling the toy with fluid under pressure, said means comprising a fluid inlet valve g dimensioned to fit and close the outlet opening and clamping means k for releasably holding said inlet valve in closure contact with said opening during charging of the toy. The embodiment described is an aeroplane, though the invention may also be applied to toy boats. An extension i of the fluid inlet valve g is adapted to fit and close the orifice b, and to be retained in fluid tight closure by a clamp k adopted to engage the fuselage a. Water is introduced into the hollow body, and then air is pumped in under pressure. Any liquid or finely commuted solid may be used instead of water, and any gas in place of air. The clamp k and valve g are rotatably mounted on a stand to orientate the aeroplane in a vertical plane by adjustment of the wing nut h. A rubber cap d or detonating cap may be fitted to the nose. On commencing a glide after powered flight is finished, the airstream may withdraw a parachute, released by gravity, on alteration of the flight path, from a tube mounted above the fuselage, to lower the aircraft to the ground.
