719,938. Hay-sweeps. STOBBART, R., and STOBBART, M., [trading as STOBBART BROS.]. Sept. 22, 1952 [Aug. 13, 1951], No. 19067/51. Class 6 (3). [Also in Group XXX] A tractor-mounted hay-sweep comprises a tined frame 16 hinged to a supporting frame 12 itself pivoted to the tractor chassis, the hinge 24 between the two frames being lockable at will so that the tined frame can be inserted under a load with the hinge free, and then lifted bodily by the tractor power-lift 46 with the hinge locked. The frame 16 comprises tines 20 projecting from a transverse bar 18 having rearwardly-extending arms 14 pivoted to the U-shaped frame 12 about the hinge 24. On a cross-bar 26 of the frame 12 a lever 30 is mounted and carries bolts 34 which can pass through aligned holes in the members 12, 14 to lock the frames together. The frame 12 is pivoted, at 22, to a bracket 25 secured to the tractor chassis. The lift-arms 46 are connected to the frame 12 through links 48, 50 pivoted together at 60 and also pivoted to arms 58 carrying a yoke 54 which can be slipped over a stationary part of the axle-casing so that the power lift is relieved of the load after lifting it.
