715,273. Collapsible photographic roll-film cameras. AGFA CAMERA-WERK AKT.-GES. June 18, 1951 [Aug. 12, 1950], No. 14433/51. Class 98(1) In a collapsible camera having a device for simultaneously setting a between lens shutter carried by a lazy-tongs unit and advancing the film, this coupled action is effected by means of a single lever pivoted on the lazy-tongs unit and connected between a member coupled to the film advance mechanism and a member coupled to the shutter setting mechanism. As shown, the support 3 for the lens 14 and shutter 7 is connected to the camera body 1 by lazy-tongs 2 pivoted to each other by a pin 10. On rotating clockwise a lever 4 which through a one-way ratchet drives a toothed film advancing wheel, a link 5 connected to the lever 4 rotates anticlockwise a lever 6, which is pivoted on the pin 10. by means of a pin 12 on the link sliding in a guide 13 in the camera body engaging also in a slot 11 in the lever 6. The end 6a of this lever engages a projection on a ring 9 rotatably mounted concentric with the lens and shutter and so rotates the ring whereby the projection thereon moves the shutter setting lever to the set position. On releasing the lever 4, it together with the link 5 and the lever 6 return to the rest position shown.
