Abstract

714,919. Rotary-mould-table presses. ALEXANDER & CO., Ltd., H. Feb. 19, 1952 [Jan. 12, 1951]. No. 896/51. Class 87 (2) A rotary table press or attachment therefor is pro vided with a stepped bridge or stepped member secured to or operated by the mair pressure plunger and an aux iliary head secured to the fixed pressure head, whereby one stroke of the pressure plunger simultaneously car ries out pre-pressing of the material in one mould, final pressing of pre-pressed ma terial to its finished size in a second mould and ejecting the final pressed brick, briquette or the like from a third mould. Each mould 2, carried by the rotary table 3, has a loose plunger 4 between which and a head 0, or auxiliary head 10, the material in the mould is compressed. The main pressing plunger 7 carries a member 8 in the form of a stepped bridge, resulting in the plunger being pressed different distances into their respective moulds. The table is rotated progressively through a distance equal to the distance between two mould boxes before each stroke of the plunger 7.
