[Also in Group X] The engine starting motor of a vehicle is utilized also to drive a pump for operating body details, and a hydraulic control device ensures that hydraulic pressure is not generated during starting. When switch 65 is closed to operate the hydraulic motor 58 the solenoid 80 closes the byepass valve 87. Pressure fluid then opens valve 103 against its spring to flow from port 56 to the motor. During operation of the starting motor by switch 34 the bye-pass valve is open and fluid forces piston 96 to engage and close valve 103. Fluid pressure from motor 58 then flows to the reservoir. The combined valve 101, 103 also acts as a safety valve.
