Abstract

709,766. Agricultural implements. TAYLOR, J. H. Jan. 23, 1953 (Jan. 23, 1952], No. 1846/52. Class 6 (1). [Also in Group XXX] A device for relieving a tractor hydraulic power lift of the weight of a raised implement comprises a bracket 1 attached to the tractor and provided with a transverse member in which a pair of bolts are slidably mounted. The arrangement is such that when the implement is raised the lift arms 14 abut against the chamfered ends 4a, 5a of the bolts forcing them inwards, the bolts snapping back when the implement is fully raised. The power lift is reversed or released and the arms 14 rest on the bolts. As shown the bolts are formed with racks which engage a pinion provided with a handle 8 which is connected by a tension spring 12 to the member 3 by means of eye bosses 3a on one side or other of the pinion so that the bolts 4a, 5a may be maintained projecting beyond the ends of the member 3 or may be retracted.
