Abstract
709,648. Bee-keepers' appliances. GREGSON, H. July 25, 1952 [July 26, 1951], No. 17749/51. Class 5 (2) To remove the wax from honeycomb frames 2, they are supported vertically in a container in which water is heated or to which steam is supplied to melt the wax. In one form, the frames are suspended in an inner perforated vessel 3 enclosed in an outer vessel 4 containing hot water. A filter 9 carried above the inner vessel prevents the frames from rising and permits the wax to float up to the surface of the water while retaining debris. In a modification, a single vessel with a perforated false bottom is employed with steam heating, the molten wax passing through the perforated bottom and being drawn off by means of a cock.
