709,077. Filter presses. HEATH, J. S., and HEATH, C. R. Nov. 10, 1952 [Nov. 13, 1951], No. 26496/51. Class 46 An outside cloth for filter cloths of a filter press comprises a centre part a of open weave or reticulated plastic material to which a bounding strip b of imperforate plastic material is secured, e.g. by sewing or other appropriate means. In the case of presses having plates with side suspension the outside cloth is bipartite and is straddled over the plate and apertures a<SP>1</SP> in the centre of the panels a which may be lined with nylon engage with the tubular part of the filter cloth proper. Where the plates are suspended from above the two outer cloths are tied together. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 687,968.
