Abstract
708,620. Refrigerators. MOTOR PRODUCTS CORPORATION. Nov. 11, 1952 [Feb. 11, 1952], No. 28453/52. Class 29 [Also in Group XVII] A wirel-work container for supporting articles in a topaccess refrigerator is open at the top 20 and one side 13, has a bottom wall terminating short of the open side 13 and a closure 16<SP>1</SP> for the side 13 pivoted at its top edge 23 to the container for upward swinging movement to the dotted line position, a wire extension 25 from the bottom edge of the closure forming a continuation of the bottom wall 14 in the closed position. The sides are outturned at the top 20 and slide on horizontal guide rails within the cabinet to allow access to the space beneath the container, which is divided into upper and lower storage spaces by a removable wire shelf 35. The closure 16<SP>1</SP> is held in its closed position by a U-shaped spring latch member 31 welded to the bottom wall 14. The arrangement enables the container to be loaded without removal from the cabinet.
