Abstract

707,405. Dispensing articles. ICE-MATIC Ltd. March 12, 1952 [April 18, 1951], No. 9061/51. Classes 27 and 116 In a dispensing machine comprising a hollow magazine having one or more detachable shoots for storing columns of articles, each shoot 11 is in the form of a rectangular tube with an open slot 12 extending the length of one side and being closed at its lower end by a removable plate 19. The plate 19 is inserted at the bottom while the shoots are placed in the machine and then withdrawn. The shoots are closed at the top by a plate 21 and the articles are introduced at the other' end. The shoots are placed in holders 10 through a door 13 of a magazine 2 rotatable on a pivot 3 in a heat-insulated outer casing 1. The shoots are brought successively into alignment with a delivery aperture and the magazine is steadied by rollers 5 running on a guide. The shoots 11 have projections 14 which engage members 15 on the holders. Alternatively, studs at the back of the shoots engage slots in the walls of the holders or upper lateral flanges on the shoots engage over the top edge of the holders. The shoots may have an upper door to allow filling without removal. The articles may be refrigerated by an internal ice box or by an evaporator as described in Specification 707,432.
