Abstract

704,250. Endless chain conveyers. G. W. B. ELECTRIC FURNACES, Ltd. July 27, 1951 [Dec. 19, 1950], No. 30960/50. Class 78 (1) A furnace conveyer comprises two or more parallel chains connected together, the chains supporting members of channel section in which is housed and from which protrudes material adapted to support the charge without scratching or marking it. In the embodiment shown in Figs. 1, 2, lengths of asbestos rope 4 for supporting'the charge protrude from channel section members 3 which serve to connect the chains 1 together. In Fig. 3, the asbestos rope is mounted in channel sections 11 extending longitudinally of the chains 12.
