704,212. Handle-bars. ATELIER DE LA MOTOBECANE. Dec. 31, 1951 [April 24, 1951], No. 30492/51. Class 136(3) In a handle-bar for vehicles with front wheel steering, consisting of a sheet metal pressing of inverted U- shape in transverse section in its central part, the section being progressively modified to become circular at the extremities 4 which act as hand grips, the arms 2 of the U are in places connected by cross pieces 6, 7 and 10. Slots 5 are provided for the fixing and operating of turning hand grips and control levers. The cross pieces 6 act as abutments for the sheaths of Bowden cables controlled by the hand grips. The steering bracket 8 also acts as a cross piece. The bracket has arms 10 which connect it to the handlebar. Openings 11, 12, 13 are provided in the central web 1 of the handle-bar for instruments such as a speedometer.
