Abstract

The invention relates to a two-wheeled cycle rim brake where the brake pad (8) is movable by means of a pivotably mounted actuating lever (12) and a slide piece (6) which carries the brake pad and is slidable transversely to the rim. Specifically, the actuating lever (12) is pivotable about an axis which is coincident with the sliding axis (VA) of the slide piece (6) or parallel thereto and is connected to the slide piece (6) via a control surface which extends at an angle to this axis, in particular via a bolt thread. Such a rim brake is notable for its stable and space-saving construction, its sensitive and effective response, and for simple manufacture and installation.
