Abstract
701,047. Fusible cut-outs. CARR FASTENER CO., Ltd. Jan. 8, 1952 [Feb. 26, 1951], No. 4690/51. Class 38 (i) In a fuse holder of the type comprising an insulating body 1, having a bore 2 for a cartridge fuse and a cap 15 detachably secured to the body to retain the fuse therein, a contact 7 for engaging one end of the fuse is reciprocably mounted in the bore and urged by a spring 9 out of engagement with a terminal 3 at the base of the bore. After insertion of a fuse and on attachment of the cap, contact 7 is depressed to make contact with terminal 3, the other end of the fuse engaging a contact sleeve 16 in the cap which has lugs 18 engaging bayonet slots 12 in a sleeve 11 at the outer end of bore 2. Sleeve 11 has legs 13 which project out through slots in the wall of the body, said legs having spring tongues 14 which snap over the body to retain the sleeve in position, one of the legs forming the other terminal of the holder.
