699,757. Supporting plants, WONDER METAL PRODUCTS, Ltd. Feb. 26, 1952 [Feb. 26, 1951], No. 4627/51. Class 6(ii) Growing plants are secured to a stake 7 by a flexible stretchable elongated member, such as a coiled wire spring 2, engaging at least three anchorage points on a rigid member 1 to form on opposite sides thereof loops each extending between a pair of anchorage points to embrace the stake and plant respectively. As shown, the rigid member is formed as a bent metal plate to which one end of the spring 2 is anchored at 3, the spring then passing through anchoring slots 4 and 5 in the member 1 to provide the loops. The plate is roughened by spikes where it engages the stake. -
