Links 50 also connect the louvres to the stationary frame 52. The screws are in several lengths, numbers of which are coupled together by connecting members 40. One screw is driven from a hand-crank 94 or other means; the other screw is driven from the first through a horizontal shaft and intermediate toothed gearing housed in the bottom member of the window frame.
