Abstract
698,832. Permanent magnets. V.D.O. TACHOMETER AKT.-GES. May 28, 1951 [May 26, 1950; July 8, 1950], No. 12526/51. Class 35. [Also in Group XXXVI] A permanent magnet for use in measuring instruments is made of a ring or rings of magnetic wire having poles equally spaced around the periphery, preferably the wire having enhanced magnetic properties along its length. The magnet may comprise a single ring or a stack of rings a as shown, with the poles placed at b and c. Alternatively a spiral or a series of gapped rings may be used.
