Abstract
912,303. Moving-iron instruments. PAL, NARODNI PODNIK. Oct. 19, 1959 [Oct. 21, 1958], No. 35371/59. Class 37. An electrical measuring instrument comprises a soft-iron-base-plate 80, a soft magnetic vane 70 pivoted on the base-plate, one or two permanent magnets 10, 50 attached by one pole to the base-plate adjacent the pivoted vane, and an actuating coil 120 which may be a single, current-bearing wire. The zero may be arranged at either end of the wire or in the centre, the permanent magnets being aligned accordingly. The coil is mounted with its axis at right-angles to the field created by the magnets in the vicinity of the vane.
