698,539. Welding by pressure. SVENSKA TURBINFABRIKS AKTIEBOLAGET LJUNGSTROM. June 3, 1952 [Aug. 23, 1951], No. 13965/52. Class 83 (iv). [Also in Groups XXII and XXVIII] Two cylinders 1, 2 are connected by an expansion joint comprising a slotted ring 4 which is welded to the cylinders where shown. Electrodes may be placed outside surface 5 and inside the cylinder 1 near the place 6, a connecting piece bridging the gap. Beryllium bronze may be used.
