Abstract
A vanadium containing fuel oil contains a mixture which comprises, or upon combustion results in, titania, alumina and silica, whereby the fuel mixture gives an ash of melting point above 1200 DEG F. The alumina and silica may be added in the form of aluminium silicate. The preferred additive is coal flyash. The ratio of the mixture to oil ash may be from 0.5 : 1 to 1.5 : 1.
