696,270. Supporting cables. SIHN, W., [trading as SIHN, W. [Firm of]]. Dec. 20, 1951 [Dec. 27, 1950], No. 29849/51. Class 36. [Also in Group XXV] A support for a cable, wire, or conductor in the form of a metal band comprises an in sulating body 2 with nails 3 for fastening it to a wall and having a flat or grooved face 4 tc receive the conductor or cable which is retained in place by a resilient clamping member 5 having hooked ends 6 which engage shoulders 7 on the body 2. The member 5 is shaped so that it is under tension when in the clamping position shown in Fig. 1. Fig. 5 shows a modification in which the resilient clamping member 17 is made in one piece with the body 16 and has a single hook portion 21 to engage a shoulder 22 on the part 16. The body portion and the clamping member may be formed with notches or grooves to receive the conductor.
